This season, Europe is one of the most beautiful destinations, most especially London.

This season, Europe is one of the most beautiful destinations, most especially London. London is one of the best cities in the world but quite expensive to visit during the high seasons such as winter and summer. Regardless of how high the cost of traveling to London might be, you would be compensated with plenty of free things to do in London and it would be worth the travel cost.

In London, it’s pretty easy to spend an entire day without spending any money except on food and transportation because of these beautiful places you can visit while in London.

British Museum

If you have time for just one museum, make it the British Museum. The most famous pieces in the museum are the Elgin Marbles, the Rosetta Stone, and the collection of mummies which represent just a few of the estimated 8 million pieces in the collection. Human history and culture, are the focus at the British Museum with grand sections devoted to the Egyptian, Greek, and Middle Eastern cultures. As soon as you enter, you’ll be greeted by the Great Court, a stunning glass covered area that is an architectural marvel. If you are not a fan of museums, the British Museum would be an exception.

Hyde Park

The Hyde Park is one of London’s largest parks forming part of the Royal Parks of London. You would need more than one day to enjoy all the things you can do at Hyde Park in London. The Park is quite enormous that you would not know where to begin but here is how to get started. If you are would like to hear of other people’s opinion and views about different life topics, you should head to the Speaker’s Corner. This is the traditional sire for public speeches and debates. History says that Karl Marx and George Orwell exercised their right to free speech at the Speaker’s corner. If this does not define your type of fun, there are other things like feeding the ducks, fishing, among other physical things you can do at the Park. Once in a while, musical bands and artists perform their songs at the park and all you have to do is enjoy the show.

Changing of the Guard

You might be wondering and asking yourself, ‘what is so special about changing the guards?’ Well, this is not just a one-minute affair where some guards come to replace some other guards. It is one of British best-known tourist attractions and the scene is worth every moment. The Changing of the Guard at Buckingham palace holds every day at 11:30 am. The ceremony represents a formal handover of responsibilities where the Old Guard, the name for the soldiers currently on duty, line up in front of the palace, ready to hand over their role to the New Guard which arrives from Wellington Barracks.

The interesting aspect of the ceremony is when the New Guards, fully dressed in their ceremonial uniform are accompanied by a Band with Drums. Trust me the parade ceremony is worth every moment spent standing to watch it.

South Bank Walk

It is a commercial and entertainment district of Central London along the River Thames just opposite the City of Westminster.

A walk along the south bank of the River Thames is a wonderful way to take in many of the sights of London. If you cross the River Thames near to Big Ben along the Westminster Bridge you will find yourself directly on the South Bank of the River. Sights that you will behold are The County Hall, The London Eye, The Southbank Centre, The Royal National Theatre, Oxo Tower and Gabriel’s Wharf, The Tate Modern, the Globe Theatre, the Millennium Footbridge back across the River to St. Paul’s Cathedral. You would need several hours to take in each sight as you walk along the South Bank.

Finally, London is a must visit if you haven’t and it’s more interesting and beautiful during the Christmas season. The cost of traveling might seem high during this season, but not to worry, we’ve got you covered with quick loans of up to N5, 000,000. Apply for a loan now.
